This Sunday, July 12, is the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, and in the Gospel of St. Matthew we read the beautiful Parable of the Sower.

“In the middle of summer, we continue reading from the Gospel of Matthew (Cycle A). Today we begin chapter 13, sometimes referred to as the chapter on parables, for Matthew has Jesus teach seven parables in this chapter… The parable in today’s gospel may cause us to stop and consider several questions: What kind of seed are we? Were we scattered on rocky soil or fertile? Will we bear fruit? If so, how much – thirty, sixty, one hundred fold?” (Living Liturgy 2020)

We will gather here at St. Francis Xavier Church for the celebration of the Mass at the regular times: Saturday at 5:30PM and 9:00AM and 11:00AM on Sunday morning. For your own well-being as well as for the sake of other parishioners, please follow the rules of social distancing inside the church building and in the parking lot, wear a face mask, sanitize your hands at the stations provided, and be sure to follow the directions of the ushers and remain in the seat they show you to.

For those who cannot join us in the church, we will live-stream the 9:00AM Sunday Mass on our YouTube channel. Click on the picture below.
